Robson Green’s Wild Swimming Adventure features the actor embracing the burgeoning trend for outdoor swimming as he goes on a breathtaking tour of Britain’s waters. Along the way Robson experiences serene lakes, iconic rivers and chilly seas while meeting a diverse range of wild swimmers who keep Britain’s waters alive with their passion for getting back to nature.
The two part series explores our love affair with water, with Robson introducing us to a range of places on the wild swimming map from the beautiful Tinside Lido; to Virginia Woolf’s beloved River Cam; to the epic and challenging Corryvreckan whirlpool in Scotland’s Inner Hebrides. The series also sees Robson rekindle his own passion for wild swimming. He revisits Seaton Burn, the watery playground of his childhood, and follows in his father’s footsteps as he takes on the enormous wild swimming challenge presented by Northumberland’s Holy Island.
