Set in a fictional London suburb, ‘The Thin Blue Line’ follows the Grantly police force as it does it’s (incompetent) best to protect the area. Split into two factions, uniformed and CID, Rowan Atkinson leads his party (the former) in an old fashioned crusade against crime, at the mercy of constant ridiculing by the mouth of the smug, ambitious and patronising Detective Inspector Grim (David Haig).
Though a police station, Grantly is not at the forefront of modern policing and is somewhat cramped, causing the two groups to constantly clash, and try to outdo each other, often with hilarious results.
