Last night saw the final ever episode of Secret Diary of a Call Girl air on ITV2, and as we have come to expect, Belle did not disappoint with her show-stopping outfits!

For the final time, here’s how Edward K. Gibbon and Billie put the looks together:

Belle bent all the rules of traditional courtroom attire when she went to see Stephanie

 • Edward teamed a transparent mesh suit with a white wing collar and large bow neck tie from Cos.
• Adding a pair of pony skin leopard print shoes from Kurt Geiger to finish the look off.

For her shock reunion with a school friend, Belle wore:
Mohair coat

Marc Jacobs dress
• A mustard, mohair swing coat from Preen
• A strapless Mark Jacobs dress, in a cerise and dark brown check.
•  With a large floral turquoise necklace from Les Nereides

• For her very last outfit of the series Edward K. Gibbon designed and handmade Belle’s stunning vibrant yellow dress with a heavily beaded front panel.

We are heartbroken the series has come to an end but hope you have enjoyed lusting after the fashion this series as much as we have enjoyed blogging about it!

Final Kiss

When you are making a show like Secret Diary there is no avoiding lingerie. For our show it has to be top notch, so we turned to some of the best, amongst them was Harlette.

Harlette is an English Luxury Lingerie brand that launched in Paris in Jan 2010, the collection was invited to showcase at the Oscars Style Lounge in Hollywood 2 months later and pieces of the collection were received by a Saudi Princess in June 2010. After a world wind tour Harlette was invited to join Secret Diary by the award-winning costume director Edward K Gibbon in August 2010.

Here are some of the pieces Billie and Edward chose:

We reckon that Belle could have taken on the Hollywood Glitterati on Oscar Night and won a prestigious award of her own. Here are some fabulous looks from the Secret Diary back catalogue that we consider to be headline grabbing and deserving of Belle’s own star on the Walk of Fame or should that be The Catwalk of Fame?

Billie Posted 21st February:

Secret Diary Episode 3

Before Ed and I started shooting we went to Haynes. We made a connection; we formed a friendship with Kerry and Michelle Haynes. Two wonderfully stylish Ausie sisters, who source, nurture and promote new designers.

They both happened to be fans of the show so we were spoilt rotten with garments. Box-tick. We raped that studio in seconds. We threw ourselves at rails, we nuzzled through the freshly pressed seams. We spent three hours saying (in chorus) ‘Cute’ ‘Hot’ ‘ I want it’ ‘Do you think I’ll be able to keep it?’ We were a royal mess.

Here’s a dress from the Ostwald Helgason collection. It’s actually two dresses. Initially it looked a bit shapeless on me. You almost need 5 more inches on my 5.5 and a straighter more boyish frame. I was keen to belt it, last minute, on set. And so was forced to snatch at my costume assistants very own Reiss belt. Awful for her and her now saggy pants but the look was complete. And was winning.

We soaked my neck and chest in gold… And off I went. To hit the streets of Clapham in a slightly over blown day time look. Magic!

Episode 3 Secret Diary

The sequin dress, which I know is much loved, having had endless calls from friends, is from Blumarine. And feels like sex on. Silky, shiny, sex. My favourite.

Camel wrap-around dress and over sized jewellery

Oh my!!!!

That’s certainly the biggest pearl necklace I’ve ever seen. Belle, obviously completely unfazed.

Love the mix here of the crepe/camel wrap-around dress and the over sized crunchy jewellery. Ed and I wanted to find something chic, professional and sophisticated. A modern working girl, going about her business. Her new business.

As hot as this looks (in my opinion) those pearls were quite hard to work. (They actually chipped a tooth of mine during the dancing scene, although you’d hardly notice in my mouth.)

It’s Good to be Home

How fabulous is this dress? Courtesy of Peekaboo Vintage. Big, bold, blue prints, delicate lace gloves, Mulberry red handbag and never shy of an accessory or 8, including chandelier earrings with turquoise stones, 4 necklaces, a thin black leather belt with bow, large jewelled ring all finished off with Kurt Geiger leopard print and red patent bow shoes.

She’s bringing it!
Ed and I wanted to step it up a bit this year. We wanted to merge fantasy with…. well…. fantasy. We wanted to show the effects of a woman who fiercely compartmentalizes her life. A working woman, a sexual predator, a home owner, a girlfriend and now a madam. A different look for all occasions.

Starting with exhibit A. I wanted Belle to arrive home in the ultimate attire. There would be no falling out the cab with troll doll hair, crumb covered knitwear and a pair of shapeless Uggs after 24 hours of travelling. A look I frequently pose after a long haul flight. We wanted something with charm and personality. Something that had been imagined, planned then laid out the night before. I love this.
