Walking & Talking
Fresh from the success of her Little Cracker for Sky, Kathy Burke’s Walking and Talking is her critically acclaimed series, charting a young Kathy’s life growing up in London in the late 1970s.
The series follows Kathy and her childhood friend, Mary as they walk the streets of Islington discussing everything teenage – boys, music, parents, food, school. When Mary reveals that she has a boyfriend, Kath tries hard to hide her shock but it’s not long before Kathy’s life takes a turn for the better when she’s accepted at the local youth drama centre.
Written by Kathy Burke and first aired on Sky Atlantic, the series also starred Jerry Sadowitz in the role of Jimmy the Jew and Kathy Burke herself as the role of a chain smoking nun.
