Runner’s and Trainee Schemes
At Tiger Aspect productions we run a highly sought after scheme where we recruit runners into each of our production departments on 9 month contracts. These placements are designed to give new entrants into the industry a chance to jump-start their career in TV.
Working as a department runner at Tiger Aspect is a fantastic opportunity to gain a strong understanding of how the industry works, discover where you may like to steer your career in television and to acquire valuable skills that will take you forward.
We encourage our runners to make contacts across the Company, gain as much hands on production experience as possible (even if that means giving up evenings and weekends), contribute to ideas meetings where appropriate and to generally take an interest and get involved.
The areas in which this scheme runs are Comedy, Drama, Entertainment and Factual and Features. They come up at different times throughout the year and they will be advertised in our Current Vacancies section. Be sure to keep an eye out on the website and our Facebook page for updates on these opportunities.
No existing experience in television production is required to apply for the scheme, although all candidates should possess bags of enthusiasm and a passion for all things TV!
*tip: as well as a CV and covering letter we ask for a particular programme critique from each applicant to this scheme – be sure to complete this part of the application process as we don’t consider applications from anyone who hasn’t.

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications we receive, please be aware that we are only able to respond to successful applicants.
We support a number of industry trainees schemes and initiatives such as PACT, Creative Access, Mama Youth and the BBC production scheme.

We are always looking for keen and bright people to come and work as paid relief runners at Tiger Aspect. As a relief runner you will cover for our department runners on an ad hoc basis when they are out of the office on production, on holiday or on training.
It is a chance to gain valuable running experience in a busy television Company, expand your skill set and gain contacts. The demand for relief runners varies so we are always looking to meet people to have on our books for this, although work can unfortunately never be guaranteed. If you are interested please email your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org with Relief Runner in the subject header and we may be in touch as and when opportunities arise.
